A Good Sleeper

Norah can pull herself up these days. On Mother's Day morning, we came in to wake her up and found her standing up, holding on to the side of her crib. Time to lower the mattress!

She's been sleeping better the last couple of weeks or so too. She usually only wakes up once a night now and falls back asleep within minutes. On Sunday night I got up, fed her a little, and put her back down at about 4:45. I thought I heard her around 5:30 but I just let her be and she went back to sleep. She must've awakened, sat herself up, and decided to have a little early morning play time, because when Mark went in to wake her up around 7 he found her like this:

I think the thought process went something like this, "So what if they're asleep. I'm a big girl. I can sit up and play in the middle of the night all...by........my.....ZZZZzzzzzzzz."

Yup, our girl's a good sleeper.

The Best Ride Ever

Mark randomly decided to put Norah on his shoulders one day and boy did she love it! We stood her up in front of the mirror. She looked like she was having the best time. Her dad had fun being the buckin' bronco too, except she pulled on his "mane" quite a bit.

Hey Dad, is that US in the mirror?

This is even more fun when I pull Daddy's hair!

I stayed on the full 8 seconds! I've beaten the Daddy Bronco!!

Mmmmmwah!

She actually started blowing kisses several weeks ago, but apparently she has opinions about being filmed. I took almost two minutes of little video snippets before I got an actual kiss. Of course she did it right on cue as soon as I put the camera away!

Teeth!

Norah's two bottom teeth are making their debut appearance. They started coming in about three weeks ago. Judging by her recent behavior we're guessing that the top ones aren't too far behind. Along with her new teeth, I suppose it's appropriate that she's decided that she won't be eating baby food any more. She takes one bite, gets a second mouth full and spits it directly at whoever happens to be feeding her. After a couple of frustrating meals we decided to give her finger foods that she can eat on her own. She seems perfectly happy to eat as long as she can feed herself. This leads - as you can clearly see below - to quite a bit of food missing her mouth and landing on her face.

I love the look on her face in this one.

A Few Pics

Tanks to our good friends Kim and Danny for sending this outfit for Norah. They're from CA and Kim was worried that she picked the wrong size and Norah would be too big for it by the time warm weather came around. Lucky for us, my kiddo is a shrimp. If she wasn't we would have missed out on all this cuteness!

PS - Check out Danny's ministry group Captivators. They're amazing entertainers who will work with you to make your next church, school or ministry event exactly what you want it to be!

And now for the photos:
