Growth Chart

A couple of weeks ago, we had to weigh and measure Norah for our insurance. As it turns out, she's gained 5 pounds and grown 2 1/2 inches in six months! Sheesh, no wonder toddlers get grumpy!

I perused the photos on our computer to see if I could find some good comparison shots. These are the best ones I could come up with:

This is Norah on her second birthday trying on the tutu I made her.

This is Norah on February 9th. The tutu is above her knees now.

Incidentally, we measure Norah on the same door that Bob and I were measured on as kids. When my parents sold their house they took it off the hinges, replaced it, and took the door with them. I highly recommend measuring your kid on a moveable object like my parents did (as opposed to a door frame, which would have been much harder to replace...) it's an awesome family record. I'm not sure who is going to get custody of that door once my brother has kids and starts measuring them on it too.

Anyway, according to The Door of Measurements, she's roughly the same size that I was when I was three. That's my girl!

So here is the deal.... Lula Mae has not grown a sliver of an inch, nor gained more than a few ounces since her 2 year check up... she will be 3 in May! My poor little girl is so petite! Luckily the doctor is not worried. Plus, when I was her age I stopped growing too. Then started back up again at nearly 4! How tall is Norah by the way?
